Rainer Haas

Ao.Univ.Prof. DI Dr. Rainer Haas is a graduate of the Institute of Agricultural Economics at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU). He made his doctorate about the first online farmers market of Austria, for which he got the Austrian Agricultural Marketing Award in 1998. He got several other awards such as the Austrian Agrana Research Award in 2001 and 2006, the Best Paper Award at the ISAHP 2001, in 2011 the Emerald Literati Network Awards, and the most innovative Idea Award 2016 at the International Conference on the Analytic Hierarchic Process.

Habilitation (venia docendi) in Marketing in 2004. He was guest professor for teaching and research at the University of Florida at the Department for Food and Resource Economics in the spring semesters of 2010, 2012, 2016 and 2018.

He teaches at BOKU with a focus on intercultural experiences. He published more than 30 articles in international peer reviewed journals, wrote five books as author and edited several books.
