Martin Schönhart

Martin Schönhart's major fields of research are the design and application of integrated economic land use models at various scales from fields to regions. These models combine detailed agronomic knowledge and economic theories and provide interfaces to various disciplinary models relevant to agricultural land use such as landscape ecology, hydrology, meteorology, landscape planning, and soil science. Related to integrated land use models are scenarios describing future socio-economic and climate situations. Martin Schönhart collaborates with researchers in Europe to develop such scenarios in participatory research settings.
